Introduction
To address the increasing demand for 3D spatial scanning and enhance industry efficiency, the team initiated a design and development collaboration to create a high-performance mobile scanning device.Functionally: Poincare is equipped with a multi-line rotating LiDAR to achieve 360° no-dead-angle scanning of spatial point clouds; it features a SLAM camera and IMU for attitude correction to improve scanning accuracy; four 12MP wide-angle color cameras enhance rendering realism; a 12MP close-up camera at the front allows personnel to record detailed on-site images. Structurally: Four wide-angle lenses are arranged around the LiDAR, cleverly avoiding the cone-shaped blind spot created by the rotating LiDAR in the front. The internal heat is conducted to the outer wall heat sink and actively dissipated by a fan, ensuring the device is dust and water-resistant. Operability: The detachable bottom grip handle allows the device to be mounted on drones, unmanned vehicles, and other platforms, enabling flexible adaptation to various use scenarios.Aesthetically, Poincare adheres to the design principle of form following function, featuring a clean and simple design. Heat dissipation fins are incorporated in high-heat areas, improving cooling efficiency and giving the product a more professional appearance. Material and craftsmanship-wise, the body is constructed from machined aluminum alloy, significantly enhancing part precision and measurement accuracy.Poincare is designed with an ergonomic grip handle and a retractable extension handle to assist in scanning low or high spaces. To alleviate arm fatigue from prolonged use, Poincare is equipped with a shoulder support accessory that frees the user's hands, allowing the waist and shoulders to bear the weight of the device, significantly reducing grip fatigue. The support structure uses rigid aluminum alloy material, ensuring a clear, quick, and stable wearing process. The foldable design also makes it convenient for users to carry.
